This was one of the most memorable weddings I have ever had the pleasure to attend. The weather was terrible with most of Dorset hit by torrential rains and flash floorings, but the people and their spirit was magnificent. Never before had so many people attended a wedding, all wearing the same foot ware !!! – Wellies’s 🙂 Kingston Maurward Wedding Photography was to take on a whole new direction!!
All manner of colours and designs. I almost thought of changing my attentions to a feature on foot ware, but then remembered where I was and continued documenting this wonderful wedding celebration!
Sarah & Ben are a lovely couple and so easy come, easy go – that it didn’t matter what the weather was going to throw at them – they were going to have a party and a great time. That they did, and so did all their guests.
With having to make my own wellie seeking expedition into the village of Wool, circumnavigating two floods in order to buy the last pair of oversized boots from the hardware store. This wedding wont be easily forgotten. But foremost, this wedding provided some unique images full of passion and fun. In future should any couples ask ” What do we do if its rains?”, I will confidently direct them to this photofilm.
Yes, it was a slight shame that we couldn’t utilise the wonderful grounds at Kingston Maurward, but the rain was relentless and very, very heavy. There are often times when I put myself out to get wet, but in no way should the Bride and Groom / wedding party go through any discomfort. So that day it just wasn’t to be…..Maybe next time I am there it will be a little more accommodating.
