My day job is as a Dorset wedding Photographer, but thats not to say that is all I can do or indeed will do. The marriage ceremony is very much a major family occasion, so its a natural progression to be asked to cover other ‘big’ family events such as christenings and birthdays. So you can also call me a Christening and Baptism Photographer if you like 😉 Thats exactly what happened here, having covered a lovely wedding at Jackie’s pub that she jointly owns,The Cove House Inn over on Chesil Beach, Portland – I have been invited to document a few family occasions over the last year.
This special gathering was to celebrate the 1st Birthday and christening of her grand daughter ‘Frankie’. Starting at Weymouth Baptist Church on a day with the worst weather that could possibly be thrown our way, the family gathered for the christening before moving on to a private party at the squash club. Amazingly I bumped into one of this years grooms-to-be Andy, who’s wedding I will be documenting later this year – a small world indeed 🙂
