Last week I commenced with my first of many engagement shoots for 2013. I met up with Kate & Finn over at Moonfleet, which is a wonderful location for engagement photography. With so many shoots to arrange with already confirmed clients / couples, its great to find new locations to work in as a wedding photographer in Dorset.
Great portraiture often comes together with the right balance on ingredients. Obviously a photographer having a good rapport with the clients is self evident, when being able to lead the subjects into comfortable poses. But I am a firm believer that a choice location has a valuable role to play, not only does it serve as providing inspiration, but it is also an enjoyable day out, away from the normal everyday settings we are too often contained in.
Having shot at Moonfleet Manor on many occasions, I remember exploring the coastline and thinking this would be a good photographic backdrop. Indeed it was, if but a little soft under foot from the heavy rains we had experienced! However, the weather was on side and we were gifted with the gorgeous deep blue Dorset skies as a backdrop with which to utilise.
For now here is a little taster from the session… i hope you like them and please feel free to leave a comment 🙂
