Princess & Mike’s winter wedding at Bennetts Water Gardens was unlucky with the weather as their dream of being married in the open air was rained off. The ceremony was conducted inside one of the glass houses as the forces that be were determined to show why it was known as a water garden!
It may have been an optimistic choice of venue, but lets face it mid July last year saw flash floods and cars being washed away. I covered a wedding where they had 8″ of water in the center of the marquee, which was a first for me as a Wedding Photographer Dorset.
But this wedding was going to be different, not just because of the weather but due to the circumstances leading up to the wedding day itself. My Bride had had a terrible experience the day before her wedding, which in turn led to her final preparations being turned on their heads. The wedding morning saw frantic calls, deliveries of dresses, flowers, rush hair appointments and make up.
The wedding day professionals surrounding Princess went into overdrive and pulled out all the stops. Although a little late, Princess looked beautiful and most importantly she had a wonderul day with Mike by her side.
I hope the bad experience leading up to the day fades quickly and their marriage is strong & long.
