Top Wedding Venues in Weymouth & Portland

There are some spectacular top Wedding Venues available within the Weymouth & Portland area, all offering a diversity in facilities as well as in the style of venue, from castles to water gardens. Not only is the area my home turf with many of the venues being familiar to me,it is an area likely to have a huge boost to its already existing popularity as a wedding location – as the region will host next years 2012 London Olympics, water sports competitions.

The area is a popular location for Dorset Weddings without even thinking of what will happen from the legacy of the Olympic Games and the benefits the media spotlight will bring to the area and local economy. I am sure that the many areas, including the wedding suppliers / venues will have a surge in enquiries & bookings and it will not be solely reliant on Olympian sailors wanting to tie the knot and get married after having a successful games and winning a hoard of gold medals 🙂

During its existence the castle offered a setting for different Royal celebrations, D Day landings, accommodated literary figures such as Tomas Hardy etc. and now after being a private residence for many years The Penn has recently been made available to rent for weddings and other special occasions.
