A Corfe Castle engagement shoot with Sarah & James’was a natural place to return to capturing some portraits ahead of their wedding this weekend. It was after all the place where James had sprung his proposal on Sarah 😉
Time had crept up on us all, with us still needing to have an image to display on the reception signing board. The shoot still needed to be arranged and we still needed to allow time for the signing board to be ordered and manufactured.
A quick flurry of emails back and forth to James, coupled with weather forecast checks to dodge the showers, and we found our opening and went for it.
An early Saturday rendezvous at the foot of Corfe Castle. Probably the first to arrive that day, with the view that this way, we would stand a chance of having a clean backdrop in which to work.
The sun was well and truly out, with not a cloud in the sky! A perfect spring day to take a wander, catch up, discuss their wedding plans along with taking some lovely Corfe Castle Engagement photos.
Arriving early I had the opportunity to scout the area and found a lovely opening in the surrounding fields. It provided an alternative view to what I had done in the past, with the full Castle and landscape leading the eye into some lovely compositions.
With some good images in the bag we then continued into the grounds, where James told me their story of the proposal.
With the signing board ordered and now awaiting delivery, its all systems go now for the big day!
I’m really looking forward to the weekend, not only will it be a welcomed return visit for me to Portland Castle, but it will also be another beautiful wedding captured within one of my Photofilms.
