I had the pleasure of meeting up locally in Weymouth with Niki & Shane at the weekend. They are planning to marry next summer at All Saints Church, Wyke Regis – so it was an opportunity to get some pre wedding shots done and get some lovely relaxed portraits in the bag.
It was rather late in the day when we met up at Nothe Fort Gardens ( around 3pm) and it only left us with an hour or so before the sun went down. Faced with the possible prospect of chasing the light, I must say it turned out to be a blessing. Occasional glimpses of the sundown peeping through the clouds provided some warm and richly lit portraits. This sought of light just cant be replicated in the studio, it has a richness and feel that you only get this time of year.
We were lucky with the weather, which is unusual for this time of year !
