I just had to put this frame up from last weekends wedding of Tess & Richard. Its a perfect example of a decisive moment. A prime illustration of what Documentary Wedding Photography is all about!
Taken the morning of the bridal preparations, I had been roaming the house looking to capture the scene. It was getting close to the time that Tess would have to get into her dress and I found myself upstairs on the upper landing. Tess’s mother had spotted me and purposefully part closed the door while her daughter changed (its only natural), I would get to document the final dress adjustments a bit later!
So I turned to see what was happening in the other rooms upstairs and upon turning back was greeted by this young page boy literally sneaking a peek at the changing bride. A spit second and just one frame was taken, but thats all it needed – caught red handed!
I am sure no one will mind this being posted as it is a perfect example of the inquisitive nature and innocence of youth, coupled with the fast shutter finger of a Documentary Wedding Photographer!
I hope you like it and look forward to posting more great images from this wonderful wedding.
Aw bless him! Great decisive shot and one that I’m sure he’ll be laughing about when he’s older!
