Last weekend I met up with Andy & Laura who will be getting married next year at Huntsham Court in Devon. As the two of them are living & working in Cardiff we had arranged our shoot to co-incide with the Autumnal season and a wedding venue visit at the same time. Always something that I am glad to do when time allows and this was such an opportunity. Complete Devon Wedding Planning and woodland photoshoot rolled into one, continuity and a perfect tie-in with their chosen ‘Woodland’wedding theme.
Here’s a quick preview of the day out shooting in the Devon countryside, we were so lucky as the weather was beautiful. Each corner we turned through the winding countryside I felt the urge to stop and utilise the beautiful scenery, but alas these picture opportunities had a habit of presenting themselves on blind bends, or on a stretch of road that had a continual hedge thus preventing us from getting into the field, and probably more inportantly any livestock from escaping! Nevermind – we worked with what we had and we made some great images.
Something that doesn’t happen too often was being presented with a rather special wedding invite, that I casually accepted and didn’t open at first. Upon finishing the first part of the shoot and returning to the car, curiosity got the better of me and I opened it – it was lovely.
So much time and detail had clearly gone into it, almost a mini book! Several pages, announcement, menu choices and other details such as map, accomodation – this was made with love and a lot of thought. Better still it was made by Laura & Andy – so a real excitement builder for me, as I immediately said ‘With such a beautiful invitation, I can’t wait for the big day. To see all the other details and way they are going to celebrate – its going to be awesome!!
