I had been wanting to shoot at Corfe Castle for some time and last weekend I finally had the opportunity with Fliss and Tom. Both are local to Weymouth but were game on to have a little trip down the coast to utilise its dramatic backdrop in their Corfe Castle Engagement Photography.
Like many shoots at this time of year, the weather is hit or miss – what I had hoped for was a beautiful saturated deep blue sky and some crisp modeling light. What we got was a little different, but atleast it was dry. So to shake up the mix a little we used a little off camera flash to brighten things up and it was also going to be my lad Matthew’s first outing as an assistant to his Dad . Well he did a grand job running round with the flash unit, endured a fair bit of mickey taking, and along with holding the various jackets / accessories that Fliss bought along with her – he passed the test.
I have posted a few preview images that immediately jumped out at me. Fliss and Tom are a great couple to photograph with both seeming very relaxed and smiley in front of the camera. With Corfe providing so many lovely shapes and interesting backdrops to use for portraits, I can see that with just looking through the thumbnails, this is a strong set of images that will be blogged further next week.
