Indian Fusion Wedding Photography Somerset doesn’t come much more immersive or emotion-filled than Jason & Natasha’s stunning two-day celebration at North Cadbury Court. With a Hindu ceremony steeped in Bengali tradition followed by a Western legal wedding full of family, feeling and festivity — this was storytelling gold, captured in one of the most elegant venues in Somerset.
From Tradition to Tears: A Wedding Vision Woven with Meaning
Jason & Natasha’s dream was to celebrate everything that mattered to them — their families, their roots, their cultures, and their deep connection to each other. And by stretching the celebration across two vibrant days, they did exactly that.
The first day brought the colour and sacredness of a Bengali Hindu ceremony. The second, a heart-led Western ceremony rich with emotion, togetherness and joy. Both were beautiful, but together? Magic.
Venue Spotlight: North Cadbury Court – A Dream Setting for Indian Fusion Wedding Photography
Set in the heart of Somerset, North Cadbury Court is a true hidden gem — elegant, vast, and perfectly suited for multi-day events. With a sweeping staircase, sunlit ballroom, and extensive grounds, it gave us everything we needed for rich, dynamic storytelling.
For couples searching for the perfect backdrop for Indian Fusion Wedding Photography in Somerset, this venue is as practical as it is stunning. It offered the flexibility to honour traditions and create an atmosphere of full celebration.
Day One: Bengali Traditions, Crowned Entrances & Flying Rice
The energy was palpable as bridal prep kicked off — aunties fluttering, bridesmaids styling, and our team splitting between stills, video and drone. Natasha looked breathtaking, framed by strung marigolds and the gentle elegance of the ballroom.
A standout? The topor — intricately carved bamboo crowns worn by both bride and groom, honouring Natasha’s Bengali heritage. And her entrance? Veiled behind betel leaves as she circled Jason, revealing her face only after the 7 sacred steps. A moment known as Subho Drishti — powerful, poetic, unforgettable.
Jason’s entrance had its own swagger. A noisy procession from the gates, welcomed (after a little negotiation) by Natasha’s family and marked with the traditional tikka — sealing his place in their hearts.
The ceremony itself was led by one of our favourite priests — equal parts spiritual leader and stand-up comedian — making it all the more interactive and full of warmth. As rice flew in celebration at the end, we knew we had frames full of feeling.
Day Two: Modern Elegance, Emotional Vows & A Proper Party
The next morning, the energy shifted. A calmer tone settled in as Natasha descended the North Hall staircase, her mum Deppa proudly at her side. Jason stood waiting.
What we hadn’t anticipated? The sheer wave of emotion that followed the ceremony. Just outside the room, the newlyweds embraced — visibly moved, completely present. These moments are fleeting, unscripted, and everything we’re here for.
Guests relaxed across the grounds, sipped drinks on the lawn, and made the most of the sunshine. There was laughter, mischief (Jason getting lifted into the air), and confetti flying from the grand steps.
Inside the ballroom, the setup was breathtaking — long banqueting tables, a floral-scattered centrepiece, and hundreds of helium balloons floating overhead. Later, a heartfelt video message from abroad moved Natasha to tears. Proof that distance doesn’t dull love.
We grabbed a few portraits at golden hour, this time with a colourful twist thanks to leftover smoke bombs. Then, the lights went low, the music went up, and a wild dance floor took over. That’s how you end a wedding.
