This beautiful wedding of Evie & Tom was one one that caught us all slightly ‘off guard’. Leading up to the wedding day itself, the only mention to Tom’s profession was that he was in the army (humble & understated).
As we have learnt over the years with other military weddings – plans can be made and then it’s a case of everything crossed that military operations won’t get in the way. (Wedding breakfast speeches later revealed it to be a close call getting back from Eastern Europe, having to negotiate several cancelled flights!)
When guests and ourselves arrived at the church, we were greeted by his colleagues from the Household Cavalry dressed in all their ceremonial finery as a guard of honour.
The punch of vibrant red uniforms and polished silver armour, cutting through the lush greens of the Devon countryside. This was going to be a remarkable Household Cavalry Devon wedding to capture!

Evie & Tom’s wedding highlight film (above) weaves back and forth through their day, whilst telling the story of how they met, along with the recollections of family & friends.
As a filmmaker, being gifted with great couples to work with, along with strong, heartfelt speeches – enriches my role as a storyteller. I try where ever possible, to include all the main players, with their input to the day and their words forming the back bone to the films narrative.
Editing, for us is a creative process, not a formula. Each story starts differently and leads us into new territories. Each story and finished film is as unique as the couples we work with.
Take a dip into their story as sit back for a few minutes with a fresh coffee in hand. We’re sure you’ll enjoy the blend of heartfelt tenderness and humour recalling their first meeting, romance and celebration.

Evie and her bridesmaids got ready that morning at her parents family home, a short distance away from St Pauls church Filleigh, Devon. A relaxed atmosphere full of laughter, where gifts were exchanged and a stunning Fortescue tiara on loan by the Countess of Arran being the final touch to set off an already stunning bride.
We couldn’t be happier with the memories Linus & Will captured for us. They effortlessly worked around ourselves and guests to present a visual record that absolutely captures the essence of our day! Would highly recommend them to anyone planning their own wedding!
Evie & Tom
The church ceremony was held by a friend of the family with another playing an acoustic guitar with a version of ‘Sail away with me’ by David Gray during the signing of the register.
Awaiting outside, after passing the Household Cavalry guard of honour, was the surprise gift of a horse & carriage to take the couple away. Valuable time to steal a few moments together, take a few pictures on a nearby scenic estate. Meanwhile the guests could return to the house and marquee, ready to greet the couple upon their return.

A relaxed Devon marquee wedding, underpinned by military precision and detail.
It would have to be, don’t you think? Cavalry, horses, pageboys in military uniform & tiaras.
This was a combined family effort with many people making this amazing day possible. Homegrown flowers from an immaculate garden and a solid group of wedding suppliers pulling out the stops to deliver their very best.
