Ston Easton Wedding Photographers & Videographers

A new wedding venue and a new venture came together at this Somerset wedding. Two areas of expertise, photography and videography along with aerial drone footage.

Creatively pushing our boundaries in new directions. Evolving our style is something we love to do. It works and it proved a great successful on Alan & Catherine’s Ston Easton Wedding day.

Ston Easton Wedding Film

Having recently gained my CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) drone pilot’s licence, I was eager to try something new for Catherine & Alan. I’ve always seen my work within stills photography as capturing ‘part’ of a story.

Photography is a powerful medium within which to work and the cornerstone from which to capture any wedding day. Yet so much more can be conveyed within the narrative when you introduce audio. Our venture into Photofilms came as a result of this.

Successful as they are, I felt that there was more to be explored. Creatively for myself and the team, along with a visual experience that could harness all the elements presented within the wedding day.

Wedding Videography & VideoFusion

Caroline & Alan allowed us to follow our creative instincts. Capturing the stunning setting of Ston Easton Park from the air, was a natural consideration. Now equipped with the drone, the footage gained worked perfectly.

We also used the drone for a small period during the couples portrait session. Walking a small area of the extensive grounds we captured a few scenes down by the stream and upon the bridge. The cut away from the couple and taking to the air really giving a cinematic edge to things.

Around these two instances we were firmly ground based filming as Ston Easton Wedding Videographers. That was the brief we were there to carry out.

The day itself

Their day was beautiful with relaxed preparations all under the one roof leading up to the ceremony. An operatic singer set the scene to Catherine’s entrance into the ceremony room. Touching moments exchanged throughout their day amongst a close group of gathered family and friends.

During the speeches, a surprise acknowledgement was paid to Alan’s daughter who was there sharing her own birthday. His Son being his Best Man.

It was a pleasure to capture the day as Ston Easton Wedding Photographers, including the crazy ‘Party Pirates’ who threw in their own blend of children’s entertainment. More reminiscent of circus performers I had seen in the past. Countless picture opportunities came forth along with a welcome break for the prospective parents.

We loved the day and the process in creating something new. Doing the day justice, capturing the many layers, aspects and connections between all.
